Last year we started something really special: Camp Staffers!

We are happy to announce that we will also have staffers this year, and there are spots open! We were so happy to have Andy, Bethany, Hunter, and Kayla serve as camp staffers last year that we are looking to double the number of staffers from four to eight! We’re excited for each color team to have both a male and female leader!

What does a staffer do?
A lot! Staffers are leaders and co-leaders of each color team. They encourage their team on to victory and through defeat. They lead by example and show their team how to be excited, but also keep a Christ-like attitude. They help set up and tear down camp, they pray for the students, they may help referee tournaments, and so much more! Christ humbled himself and became the suffering servant for mankind! Servant-heartedness is the theme of Camp Staffers so be ready to jump in and serve in a myriad of random and unexpected ways!

Who can be a staffer?
In order to be a staffer at Camp Revive you must be at least eighteen years old, have completed your first year of college (or graduated high school a year before May 2019 if you didn’t attend college), and love the Lord! That’s it!

What are you looking for in a staffer?
The Camp Committee is looking for young adults that are growing in the Lord. You don’t have to be perfect, no one is (Romans 3:23), but you need to be growing in the love of God and His Word. A staffer is a role model to every student that comes to Camp Revive, and we want them to be able to point the students to Christ (1 Corinthians 11:1). A staffer should understand and be able to share the Gospel with others (Matthew 28:19-20). If you are willing to share, but feel like you don’t know how to share the Gospel, don’t worry! During our Staffer Training Weekend, we will teach you at least one way to share the Gospel with others!
Are you someone that loves to scream and cheer your team on until you lose your voice? Maybe you are more chill, or a lot more chill than that. That’s ok! The beauty of having two staffers for each team means that even if you aren’t the loudest cheerleader ever, you can still bring your talents and abilities to the table and balance out your other team leader. If you have a passion to serve and to share the love of Christ, we encourage you to apply!

When should I be available?
Every staffer will have to have an interview before they can be hired (we do pay our staffers). During this interview, you’ll meet with the Camp Director and another Committee member where they can get to know you, and you can get to know them. We’ll ask you about your gifts and talents and how they can be best used as a Camp Staffer and a color team leader. We’ll ask you to share what you believe about God and the Gospel. This may seem scary to some of you. Don’t worry! We usually meet over dinner or lunch and have a very relaxed atmosphere.
In addition you need to be available July 6-12, 2019. Camp Staffers will spend the weekend of July 6-7 training for camp and helping with set up. Camp Revive is July 8-12!
